Case gaurds mount on the side and cover the engine cases in case of a fall over. They also keep the bike up somewhat so it will be easier to lift.sorry no full frontal pics.![]()
Someone mentioned case guards...what are these?

The case guards pictured in the picture is for the twin and most likely will not mount right. The Crash Bar I am not sure about. If I am not mistaken the engine mounting pattern and case sizes are the same as on a KZ650, so you can also watch for a set of those. If I am wrong about that, someone speak up. If in dead they would be the same than there is a bunch of them listed on eBay under "KZ650 engine guards" But we need someone to verify the 650/750 interchangeability. If and when you get a set, get a set with the forward bar like on this set for the 650.
Well thanks for all the tips. The bike is really heavy but weight I can deal with. I have been pushing it trying to turn it around in my backyard because I have been working on it. I plan on taking the rider course next month. The seat is torn up anyways so that is going to be fixed. I have been putting it on the center stand because I have been working on it and I haven't been riding it so I didn't want it to sit on the side stand. I will probably lower it if possible. I have the rear shocks to the shortest setting right now. I can put my left foot flat and have my toes touch the ground on the right, but not my heal. I will get a decent photo of me up here with the bike so you guys can understand the size difference. LOL...but sorry no full frontal pics. Any idea on how to find out what size rear shocks are on the bike now...I believe the bike is all OEM. I am doing my research on things that this bike will need to make it mine. I do refuse to do cosmetic work until I actual can ride it. Probably wait until next summer to make it pretty. Cause like you guys said, I will drop it. Someone mentioned case guards...what are these? Well the day has been exhausting so I am gonna hit the hay. Thanks for the encouragement guys.

The case guards I posted say LTD so I assume they are for the four and not the twin. Is there an LTD twin?
The 650 and 750 fours are the same frame so 650 frame parts will fit. At least its that way with the early models.
The crash bars are for the 900/1000 I was using those so she could get an idea of what we were talking about and the different designs available.

Otakar is right..100 % sure on this....i put the exact yr and model motor from your ltd750 in a kz650 and it was a perfect fit...all frame to engine bolt holes line up the same...you can also post an add free in the calssifieds here on kzr with a list of stuff ...ie..cut down seat...shorter shocks...650/750 caseguards...ect..ect...and folks could send you a p.m if they have extra stuff laying around....there are great folks here who often help with a part and some ask for nothing....good luck..
the casesavers/crash bars/engine guards are shown in this pic and will mount in the same place on your bike.....you may need to put a jack under the engine only and lift a bit of pressure off the motor to wiggle the bolt out and install the guards then slide the bolt back through..tighten and let off the jack...
the pic is of a 650 but the motor mount in question is the same as your ltd750.....which by the way is a pretty good motor...you will not outgrow it anytime soon imo

Ok so sorry for the delay in response. I picked up a 40 hr shift at work and it almost killed me...lol. Looking at case guards and crash bars...the bike already has a crash bar on it, which is a plus. I am starting to realize (as others have said) that it really is more about techinque rather then strength. I will have to get the size shocks. i am moving this week and will have no internet access at my disposal for about a week and a half. Today, not even an hour ago, I rode the bike down the driveway and didn't drop it. I still have lots of difficulty backing it up. I look like a child. It's kinda funny actually. I am working on figuring out exactly how I am gonna modify this bike to make it better for me to ride. I have to call a guy about the seat today. I will keep you all updated on the progress. Ride safe guys (and girls).

i have an xr650l that has a 37 inch seat height and i don't mine is only 31" so i have to just about get right off the bike to get one of my feet to touch at stop lights and that kind of thing, backing up forget it i get right off the bike to do that also i have to climb up on the foot peg with the sidestand down just to climb on the damn thing but all that aside it is a really fun bike so i put up with it. but there is no need for you to do the same get your seat foam cut down use shorter shocks, lower your front forks, even something as simple as changing your handlebars can make a huge difference in your feelings toward your bike. there are many little tricks that you can do to make that bike more your own, get comfortable with it and have fun.

The KZ750 is basically a bored out 650 & the case savers fit all of them and the KZ550 as well (according to MCEnterprises). I bought a set of nos MCEnterprises case guards & the fitment guide that came w them listed the KZ550 A D Spectre, KZ650 Std Custom Ltd SR CSR, KZ750 Std Ltd-4 Spectre. I was skeptical about the fitment, so I called them to verify.
Get the 3-pt case guards. Others have stated that the 2-pt type fold over easily when the bike goes down.
I know the twin guards will not fit. What I did not know was they made an LTD twin. The only twins I am familiar with is the two stroke Yamaha RD's. Sorry my bad

Re: Small chick on a little bike

Hi there,
I am a short rider as well( 5' 4"/140). My first bike was a 1983 Honda magna V45. On that bike I could be flat footed.
I had that bike and another later V45 for almost 20 years.
then I got a Kawasaki ZRX 1200R. I had to cut the foam down in the seat as it was too tall for me. I used an electric carving knife to remove some of the dense foam and then used some seat foam from Wallmart and some spray glue to get some cushy foam on top then staple gunned the seat back. That was easy and made a big difference, especially since I thinned the seat where your thighs sit.
In the first week I dropped it in my drive way and was worried that it was too big.
In the end I got used to it. I have to get off the bike to back it up any distance. ( My KZP too!)
I also have a 1991 KZ1000P, which is tall.
I wear logging boots when I ride this bike to get some extra length to the ground.
This bike can be tough to get on the centerstand but it comes down to leverage.
I put the bike on the side stand, then step on the centerstand with my right foot and hold under the rear fender, I push down with my foot to make sure the ctr stand is touching and then stand on the ctr stand while pulling up. At one point all of my weight is on the ctr stand until it rocks over and sets down.
It will take a little practice but in the end it is confidence.
Since riding the larger bikes when I sit on a 750 magna ( I have one I am restoring) it feels tiny!
Good luck and don't get discouraged!
Bill

For about 40 bucks u can buy whats called a "paddock lift".Some U shaped tube steel and a couple of wheels.U slide this device under ur rear swing arm, push down on the back and voila, bike is up in the air,stable--and u dont have to fool with the manly man center stand.Best 40 bucks I ever spent cause I really hate center stands on heavy bikes..bj
