OK,CHECKED all the plugs just now,No1 and No2 look great,No3 a little lean,No4 a little rich,so is it a sync prob?or can it be a screw adjustment fix?or am I way off?

You would not notice a sync problem at 70 MPH only at lo idle. Once you crack the throttle even a little, the sync question is no longer in play. What happens when you go in access of 70+++ MPH?, 85-95. If your problems starts to go away higher up than it is the needles. If your problem only gets worse than it is your main jets. They are WAY to small. I believe that your needles are grossly maladjusted.

YES.
We're talking about cruzin, as in when the throttle plates/slides are barely open just enough to allow the engine to maintain speed...
Lots of vacuum, and sync does affect this circuit, IF it is REALLY maladjusted or slipped out.
When cracking the throttle some, yeah, the sync don't matter much at all...

I only look at plugs for conformity/consistancy between cylinders, and it sounds like you have a sync or engine or carb or leak or... problem.
I need compression numbers...
Vacuum numbers...
Good luck!
only when at 70mph cruzin.anyone else ever have this happen?
YES.

This means you are a bit on the Lean side at mid range. With a passenger on a 650 you were considerably more than cracked open on the throttle at 70mph. You need to raise your needles one or two notches.

On those carbs you have to re-sinc every time you pull the slides. And you have to pull the slides to adjust the needles.

ok here is what happened, first moved the needles to the last ''rich''position then bench sync, so i decided to check the float levels ,because 1 and 2 plugs were good and 3 was showing lean and 4 was a little black.took off the bowls and 3 an4 were way off!!so I adjusted those two eyeballed it, sorry dont have the right tool yet,but turned the carbs over and used a tape measure to get em all the same, put her all back together no overflow problem, check, road test into the wind, uphill, check, two person check, speeds in excess of 85 mph no surging at all!so probably the floats the whole time?and i will have to watch the plugs to see if Im too rich i think.and I will be ordering a float tool, and some gauges soon.and the ''mechanic'' who I let work on this bike in the fall will never come anywhere near it again,he told me he fixed the float level and cleaned the carbs, sync them ,oh well lesson learned.
