Never really got into parting out bikes although, I can see that you could make some cash doing it.
I seem to be one of the guys that buys the parts with all good intentions of using them one day!
Interest to read about half buried bikes and I did a quick google search.
Apparently this is a rare Royal Enfield twin found in Indianapolis somewhere.

did you guys see my tank
My kz sat in a yard for well over 5 years without a tank lid . most of the bike was stripped for parts . Not as bad as the Royal Enfield but bad none the less!

Pretty much pulled this out of a slough in North Dakota. The other bikes in the slough were just handlebars sticking out of the snow

Bud in Las Vegas picked himself up a newly bought & wrecked ZX636... He was after another bike for parts and this guy had this fairly new zx sitting there... 3 weeks old and they guy crashed it... Front end & plastics way beyond repair...
Anyhoot, bud asks what he wants for it, $200... Deal!
My bud just sold the engine, $1000 on e-bay...
Go figure...
See, there's always something somebody will want out there... If you're willing to deal with the e-bay ppl hassles, money can be made...
And Kaw, totally agree with you, 2 stroke triples!

I cut my teeth on the triples and have always wanted another on for the corral. Jordan finds more of these bikes than I have seen in the last ten years. I'm jealous

hahah!!! They seem to be impossible to find anywhere, but i have gotten really lucky and stumbled upon a few(all were in surrounding states, North Dakota, and Minnesota). I have bought every one i have found though. I would really love to hold onto the H1 i have now, and restore it someday. With my kz1000 and dragbike project i dont see it getting any love anytime soon
