"At least 10 coats."... Holly crap, where'd you get this thing from Plummen? :P

Hell, you'll probably never get that to bling then...

There's always Dupli-Color wheel paint... Stuff doesn't chip, used it on my frame! Only downfall is it doesn't come in many colors....

Oh well, the engine cases and other pieces will have to do....

BTW< did you take before and after buffed pictures of the bike?

LOL precisely...no matter how shiny our KZs are, the HD guys are still going to turn their nose in the air. I have had people come up to me and admire my KZ despite all of its unpolished ugliness.

They are always awesome, especially some of the rough ones that are still runnin and look tough as nails, but a really clean example will always make me stop and pay homage to a classic kawi.

I'm still working on this bike!!

It needs a lot of TLC.

I've been shining parts and doing the mechanical work. I intalled the longer swingarm.

I removed the front forks and it was tough getting the clear coat off. These lowers have the worst casting flaws that i have ever seen.

I drained the old oil and filled it with new. Man that stuff gets nasty.

I have new cam cover gasket, exhaust gaskets, and head gasket.
I am going to remove the head and do some work on it. I'll probably clean up the intake and exhaust runners.

Then i will paint the headers!!
