20 Nov 2008 18:32
I see there are bunch of new members with 650s joining up lately, sooooo......
Let's hear it from ANYONE who has a first year (1977) and last year (1983) 650. What is/are your build dates ??
Who has the earliest and latest 650s still on the road ??
I see there is one guy just signed up recently with an '83 650.....quite a rare bird, IMO.
Let's hear it from all you 650 guys, please.

I think I have 3 77 650s at the moment. 2 are complete and one is a titled roller. At the moment I´m about 2600 miles away from them in Bogota but if memory serves me correctly the build date on the one is 5/77. I know it is an early one because it has the rear brake caliper that was only used on the first 10,000 or so units. I will check the other 2 when I get home.

The 77 I rode to work today is 12/76, serial number 367 in the USA run, so there's at least 366 earlier out there.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
