When my older brother and I were in high skool he spent a couple months rebuilding the engine in his Honda 350. When he took it out for its first spin he got about a mile and a half down the road before it froze; he had forgot to put oil back in the crankcase. Had to start all over again. If this qualifies I'll send him a link to this page so we can both laugh about it 35 years later!! (sorry Mike):P

Rebuilt a Honda xr200 and forgot to tie the wires up out of the way. After about a week or commuting on it it started dying at odd times, especially while turning. Started checking the carbs and wiring and found where the turn stop had mashed through the insulation on the wire to the kill button. When I turned it was shorting on the frame. Also forgot to put air into the front forks for the preload, but that is another big oops for some other day.
