I'd take the head off and go through it.

Ok so was back and forth about pulling the head off and taking a look or just bolt everything together and see if the valve clearances fixed the problem. Anyways I pulled the head off and yes as you can see in the pictures the valves are pretty dirty... and there is a hole in the 3rd piston head!
#1- Where should I start with the head? just clean everything really well or pull the valves and replace the valves and do a lap job?
what kind of chemical can I use on it?
#2-as for the piston. Where is the best place to find a new one? can I just replace the 1 or do I need to replace all 4?
-Do I clean it the same way I will clean the valves and head?
-inode the cylinder doesnt look too bad though so can I just leave that?

Good move, pull the valves and buy some Viton seals. Pull the barrels and take pics on the side of the pistons. Looks like a fresh hone so there must have been some kind of problem. Once you have it laid out you can decide what to do next.

I lunched one piston and replaced it. I got a 1015 block because the bore was shot too. Now I can go to 1105 if I want to. You can get a new sleeve and piston if you can tell what it is.

So I was able to put the pistons off and took a few pictures. I would like to order new pistons/rings and valve seals so I can finally get this thing running and enjoy some riding now that its decent weather in Saskatoon. The pistons say ART 801. What am I wanting to buy for pistons and valve seals? Thanks

Any direction with the pistons would be great. I am sitting in limbo till I can get the correct pistons and valve oil seals.
Thanks in advance.

Can you measure the bore and wrist pin?

So Do I just measure the inside Diameter of the bore then the length of the pin or what else should I be measuring on the pin?
Do I need to buy a dial bore gauge? Once I have those 2 measurements should I be able to find the correct replacements?
Thanks

You can get a didgetal caliper at HF. I just want to know the size of the bore across and the width of the pin. 17mm or 18.
