It was whatever the service manual said, I think 104 inch pounds or something. I guess it was just upset about being installed and removed a few times.

As to positioning crankshaft at TDC when installing cam chaim --

Ok, so I am rather sick of this site. I have attemped to post a reply 4 times and every time it clears it out. (I'm trying the "quick reply" button now)
Short version, head was cleaned by engine shop. Cams have come in and out at least 10 times in the last 3 days in my attempts to time it and check valves. I was careful each time, but I'm sure my frustration had something to do with it.
I'm putting the bike a side for a while, I have no desire to spend any money in it. This was a fun, extra low budget project, but the real money is for this (picture below) When this bike starts to take money away from the new bike is when this bike gets shelved.
Oh well, maybe I will pick it up a few months down the road, or maybe I will sell it as parts.

Then cut and paste the text into KZr's outgoing message box.sweetbro wrote: ...have attemped to post a reply 4 times and every time it clears it out....
