Are you using a mandrel tubing bender? If I bring you out some material you think you could bend me up a new rear hoop for my subframe? A tubing bender is pretty much the only thing I don't have access to.

2.5itim,
i have built my own manual tubing bender and can bend 1" 3/4" and 1/2" tubing.

i believe the radius of my 1" die is a little to small to just make a smooth loop so it would have to be a couple bends to get a loop wide enough to fit your frame rails right.

Nice work as always Leon. What tubing do you use for the pivot tube?

the pivot tube on this particular arm is the original pivot tube that i removed from the front of the original arm.

i have done pivot tubes several different ways in the past depending on the application etc.

my own is thin walled larger diameter tubing with machined bearing cups (that use the factory style needle bearing) pressed in and tack welded with custom machined delrin dust caps.

Typically it stemmed from high HP drag racing. Wheelies, especially unwelcome ones are not good when you are trying to launch off the line. You want the bike to transfer weight to the rear tire, and not waste anymore energy other than moving forward. So the longer wheel base allows for a harder launch, with less chance of lifting the front end and coming over top of you.

Or just a look for the "young urban troubadours" living with their 'busas"... :woohoo:
