At the "11th hour" before the weekend, a local car repair shop has just informed me that he is unable to get plug wires/boots/crimp on connectors for my 78 650 b...really want to get her out this weekend...Anyone bought the aforementioned parts from Autozone &c?
I know they should be solid copper core 7 mm wires, but can I get the connectors that will fit my bike's coils from a car parts store? (Apologize if this has been addressed previously!) If need be, I guess I can limp up to my local Kawa dealer, but would prefer not to, as she is running like poo currently! Thanx all!

I know I read somewhere just lately on here Autozone has a set of copper cores but can't seem to be able to find it...... Ebay and Z-1 has the Dyna copper cores and look under "plug wire connect" on the second page to get a idea how you will need to hook up the wires.... (if you still have the stock Kz650 coils) ... Dyna coils and wires have the spark plug end already done and you need to strip the wire and solder on the included copper ends to fit.

You should be able to use common 7mm supressor wires with NON resistor caps. To mate with the caps you need regular B8ES plugs with the screw on top attachment to mate with the cap. Don't use the R type plugs or you will be doubling the resistance which you don't want.

The stock plug wires have an outer protection sheath which you can transfer to your new wires if you care about such details. A little shot of WD-40 under the sheath will allow you to remove the sheath from the old wires and slide it down over the new. I did this on my 750 wires anyway.

Thanx , all! Quick lunchtime, ($9) trip to my local "Auto Value" store, got all the pieces/parts I need! Picking up a set of G3
(edit: sorry, "E3") plugs this afternoon, too! Hoping to line up against my son's 1000 this weekend, and bust his butt! (off the line anyway, LOL! ) Thanx again, all!
