No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI had been reviewing and shopping for a good H4 headlight bulb for my Copbike1000. I finally came across some premium LED lights from Ebay.



Man, what a difference. I was so tired of the wimpy yellowish headlight. These new CREE-6K-White-Bulbs are sweet. Best part they were plug n play. I had already switched my stock headlight assembly from the stock 61/4 inch or whatever the stock size is, to a 7 inch assembly with a non sealed beam which allows you to replace the H4 bulb with whatever you want to run. Drop one of these in and you will be glad you did.

Cool. Keep us posted on how it holds up. Is the light actually white or is it that honda-civic-with-no-muffler blue color?

Did you ever measure the voltage at your headlight connector? If it was low due to resistance in the switches and/or wiring, then that would explain the dim/yellow appearance. Since the LED presumably requires less power, it wouldn't suffer form the problem as much. Some people prefer to put in a relay to power the headlight for this reason, but just cleaning the switch contacts can make a noticeable difference.

Also, a cloudy headlight lens can affect the brightness --- I cleaned the inside of mine with denatured alcohol.

Very nice!!! Typically LED headlights were know for a very short life span due to overheating. This one looks to have a good heat-sink and even some sort of fan??? I hope it lasts, I too have been wanting to go LED but have not dared to. Let us know how it works.

Double the lumens (light output) and half the watts (power conumption) , seems almost to good to be true.

Are there any downsides? Is the light spread the same?

The light is bright white. Wiring harness had been cleaned up and re-wired a few months ago. I replaced the controls (switches) recently as well.

Complete headlight assembly is brand new, including lens assembly. So, the LED's that I bought came as a pair. I installed one on my Kawi and the second one on my Harley Softail. Both bikes are now fitted with the LED's and look great!

I still need to take the bike out at night to see the pattern output. Looks good so far when I turn the lights off in the garage and fire up the LED. Nice balanced light output. You do hear the fan running, which takes a bit of getting used to. almost sounds like a electric fuel pump at work but not as loud. Yes, Double the lumens (light output) and half the watts (power consumption) = less load on the electrical system........WIN WIN

Where does the heat generated get blown to from the fan? Does it just heat up the bucket or ??? I am unfamiliar with the whole LED light project.

just what I was wondering, but if the heat from a halogen gets dissipated without problem -think 60 watts at a lower efficiency, compared to 30 watt at much higher efficiency.

Are the expensive?
yeah... I'm running dual High-Low 9004 Quartz in mine and both elements are 100 watts,
Bright enough with the engine running at 2500rpm-4000rpm but really taxes my battery when idling!!
Correct, 30 watts is 30 watts no matter where it comes from...

I paid $99.99 for two. I installed on two of my bikes. Very happy with end result.
