Previously, we swapped to a later voltage regulator with the additional brown wire that ran to a switched 12v power source, which necessatated doing away with the connector and connecting each wire individually.

Now, with a new voltage regulator that does not have the brown wire, the new guy I have working on the bike prefers to return to a factory-type connector. Does anyone know where I can get those connectors?

Also, my regulator has 2 yellow wires, 1 black wire, and 1 white wire with a red stripe. Since the factory connector has been done away with, it is possible that those two wires may have become reversed. Does it matter if the yellow wires are switched up going into the regulator? If so, how do you determine which is which?

The yellow wires are AC and it doesn't matter which goes to which wire on the regulator. The black is ground and white/red is DC out. You can buy connectors at www.z1enterprises.com or www.vintageconnections.com
