1979 Kawasaki KZ650 B3

Stator, which was putting out 75-76 VAC two weeks ago is now dead, so I need a new one. I'm not going to try and use any more used parts in the electrical system.

The part number listed on the parts diagrams on the Kawasaki website is: 21003-1005

Checked electrosport.com; they don't list a stator for my model. I've emailed them. Same story with sudco.com. Z1Enterprises.com doesn't show one.

Ricksmotorsportelectrics.com lists a reman unit for my bike. It's pricey, though (155.00), and I'm not sure how I feel about a reman.

RMStator.com doesn't list a stator for my bike, but list a repair service on their site. I've emailed them, too.

I'm wondering if there are any other possible sources for one.

A remanufactured stator will work as good as a new one. It will have new windings using an old core. You can get a Ricks stator from Z1E for less than by buying direct from Ricks. Call Z1E and ask them for a price.
