Hi:

I'm planning on a Dyna install for my '77 KZ650C and was wondering what Accell coils I should be using.

3 ohm coils should work o.k. although Dyna recommends using their coils with the Dyna S.

Question, does Accell also make electronic ignitions for the KZ650, 900 & 100's?

Interesting they would make the coils but not these if that's the case...

The Dyna coils brand new are ~ $130... What does Accell coils cost?

As far as I know, the only ignition parts Accel makes that work on the KZ's are coils and wires.

They make other ignition stuff, but mostly for automotive.

You can download their catalog and look for yourself at www.accel-ignition.com/

As far as Dyna recommending use of their own coils with their ignition, I'd be rather astounded if they were to recommend using a competitors coils instead of their own, wouldn't you???

That would be like McDonalds saying eat at Burger King because their burgers are better. I don't expect to see that anytime soon

Accel and Dyna coils cost about the same.

Thanks Steell...

Accel and Dyna coils cost about the same.

That's what I was thinking. If cost is the same, why use anything other than the Dyna coils.

KraZ650, if you're still in the planning phase, use the Dyna coils for they are made for the ignition system in their design. Why dick around any other way...

Just my thoughts anyways...
