I have a 83 KZ550-M1 and I want to move the tail lights back so I can add some saddlebags. What size wire should I use and how easy / hard should that be? I figure I'll just be adding an extension of the wiring from the current place.

Any thoughts on some styles. I love LED's but I've also read a lot of problems with the power draw difference.

Thanks

Used same size wire as already on bike to create the extension needed. Good Luck! :)

If you are just moving the light further back 18 gauge wire will work fine. I have some websites for the electrical connectors:
1.www.easternbeaver.com
2.www.z1enterprises.com
3.www.vintageconnections.com

If you convert to LEDs just get an electronic flasher from any auto parts store for about $10. It will plug right into your existing flasher socket.
