I am new here. I just ended up with a 1979 kz 1000 here lately. I am having a problem with it starting. I have moved recently had a friend ride it to the new house & won't start after we got here. Just turns over & over. The guy I got it from layed ti down a littls bit before I got it & knocked the points cover off. Could it be not getting fire???????? I apologize for not knowing this...........Any help would be appreciated.

welcome to the site, have you looked to make sure the on /off switch is on , the one on the handle bars, also check for voltage at the coils,
