I have a 82 KZ1100 Spectre with a electronic speedo and was wandering if I can go mechanical on it and what type of sending unit for the front rim do I use?

I think you would probably have to change the front wheel and spacers to a model with the mechanical speedo, a 81-83 KZ1000K might work.

The 81-82 KZ1000K LTD has mags, a set forward axle, and a mechanical speedo, ao it's worth checking into.

Probably the sending unit, seems like a lot of them are going bad.

My guess anyway :)

Mine don't work don't know whats wrong with it.
I think the p/o wrecked it the gauges are pretty banged up but at least the tack works but the lights in the gauges don't.
Except for the oil neutral and the other trouble lights.
