Hey howdy folks,

Names Cash Peters and Im the new owner of a 79 kz650 C3. Well, I got this bike cheap and I just want a simple, no-nonsense commuter bike. I want to run it as bare-bones as physically possible but I know that this will most likely lead to problems electronically. I basically want it to have a head light, tail light and I want it to run. Thats about it, no blinkers, no guages (except maybe a purely mechanical Speedo) But I think you get my point.
So my question is this;
Does anyone have any experience with trying to do a simular set up? Any words of wisdom or advice to point me in the right direction? Are there any major componants in the guage cluster that I'm going to need for the bike to run...other than the ignition?

Im going to go do a search right now for some wiring diagrams so that I can start to plan out my attack. Thanks for any and all help you might be able to offer. And for your veiwing pleasure a few pics: (anyone need some parts?)

here's where I've been posting a lot of bare-bones diagrams.
bare bones for MattyLight

Post a question there and I'll see if I can draw one up in a few days.
