Meant to question this a few weeks back when I switched over to superbike bars. After installing the new bars, which are painted black, the horn wouldn't work. Checked voltage at the horn and inside the housing, and voltage was fine. Just happened to touch part of the inside of the housing to the mirror mounting hole, both un-painted surfaces, and voila! Added a small temporary jumper wire from the housing screw to the clutch pivot bolt, and it works fine. I could have just cleaned a bit of paint off, but it was cutting into my limited riding time. ;)

My question. Is the housing itself somehow part of the circuit? Just for reference, I put the housing back on the old (un-painted) bars, and the horn worked fine. Just curious. B)
