The wire that is not connected is Blue with a pink stripe, can anyone tell me what wire this is and why it is not connected or does it not need to be connected. Also, I am going to put on new plug wires, any suggestions wich are best.7mm8mmCopperSuppressors ???????????????Yet another question, what Coils are best?????????????

On a kz650 that's the Oil Pressure switch's wire, which is located behind the pick up plate at 6 O'clock.

I don't think a kz1000 has this pressure switch, in which case I bet your pick ups are off a 650/750, which is OK. They will work fine. Just don't need the extra wire.
