What's the best way to wire a GPS (or any accessory)? I've seen some unconnected wires under the seat and in the headlight that say "accessory" in the wiring diagram. Do I just connect into one of those and a ground? Do I have to worry about fluctuations in the voltage frying my GPS?

On my 1100 shaftie I wired in a cigarette-lighter-style power outlet (bought at the local auto parts store) into the accessory outlet under the seat. It works fine to power my GPS.

Be aware that the accessory circuit is always on, even when the ignition key is off, so you won't want to leave anything plugged in for too long when the bike is not running.

Thanks, that's great info to have. I plan on carrying a GPS on my bike too and was wondering how to power it.
