I was riding my bike yesterdaay and went to turn on the left blinkers.
They blinked once or twice and then died.
Since then I have tried to diagnose the problem by replacing the fuses and replacing the bulbs.

No luck - the right side is working just fine so I checked the grounds and cleaned with a wire brush. - No Luck.

Could it be the switch? or is this a symptom of some other problem?

BOth of the lights on the left side are off.

I have never pulled the switch off before so if it is the switch is there a way to do it without messing it up?

Both going dead at once is almost certainly the switch or wires from the switch. On mine, the +12V power feed wire runs through the flasher unit (one wire in, one wire out) and then goes to the center arm of the TS switch. The TS selector switch connects that +12V (flasher) power line to either the left or right set of lights for the turn signals. If one side goes out suddenly, it must either be the switch or the wiring coming from it to the lights.
