Hey all, I just finished doing the coil mod to my bike today. I had to make a few changes because since my bike is the G1 with fuel injection, it has a few differences with the wiring.

1. I have an in-line resistor between the switches and the coils. So I brought the power from #30 right to that connection.

2. on the wire coming from the switches, they split off with a double female plug. I ran one wire to #86, but I thought the write up said to leave the other wire unplugged. However, the only way my bike would start is if I reconnected the second wire to the igniter.

Maybe this is how this is supposed to be, but that's not how in interpreted it.

anyway, after it was done, it started right up and it even sounded different. I thought I was imagining it, but my wife said the same thing. I took it for a short ride and it seemed to have more pep. But I didn't get to take it out and really try it out. Maybe tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

next comes new brake pads and steering stem bearings (courtesy of Z1 thank you!).
