I have been sorting out a carb issue in relation to redline on my KZ. I have made progress but am left wondering about the response of my tach.
Anyone familiar with their mechanical tach lagging behind the motor as it spins up? Is this possible or am I dreaming?
Here is a link to what I am trying to resolve. Click me

My 750 twin does the same thing when I rev it. I just ignore it. The mechanical drive instruments have oil in them. In the summer when the oil gets thin, my speedometer is "twitchy" until it gets up to about 25 mph. In cooler weather, doesn't do it.

I hardly ever look at my gauges anymore. I shift by sound and I speed .... I mean DRIVE..... by matching the speed of the traffic I'm in.
