I replaced the dash warning light pod on my KZ750 with 12 volt LED lights. All the lights use the same color coded wiring but none of the new lights will illuminate. When I use the turn signals the idiot light won't blink, the nuetral light won't come on when the bike is in nuetral, etc. Any advice?

Do these LED's come with the resistor included (built in)? Are they designed to plug into a socket and replace a standard bulb?

If you install an LED by itself with no series resistor and hit it with +12V it will be vaoprized.

Maybe you can post the type of bulb?

Led's kind of suck unless you get very high quality LEDs.

I've tried regular off-the-shelf LEDs with 1k to 3k resistors in series and have not found an LED that will light up my tach and speedo to the point of decent visibility.

Anyone have luck with this?
