Hi all. I need to get hold of 3 coils for my 79 KZ1300. I fould some that say they're for 2-cylinder models, and I found them via a search for my model. My stock coils drive 2 cylinders each. Toyo Denso's. Can I use the coils that drive the 2 cylinder engines? I'm new to KZ's. Thanks for any help.

Ah! KZ1300 coils. A lot of 1300 owners switch to hotter coils with higher output voltages and hotter spark. A few options would be Accel or Nology coils accel.zn1300.com/ A cheaper option could be www.kz1300.com/techarticles/z1300-gm-coil-swap.html using GM or Chrysler coils. A search of Ebay using "KZ1300 coils" gives this result search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R...300+coils&category0= which give you (scroll down) all of the above options along with 1 used OEM coil or a set of 3 used OEM coils. Remember that input coil resistance should be 2.5 ohms and some options may necessitate removing your inline resistor from the coil circuit. Good luck and good riding!! Lucky 13
