I will be cleaning up the bars on the bike for more of a dragbike look and want to run an aftermarket ignition switch that runs the lights and i will be running no turn signals or dimmer switch or horn . .. does anyone have a wiring diagram or know what wires i need and which ones go ???

Can i completely remove all the turn signal wiring completely from the harness without any trouble ???
What else can i remove with out problems ???
I remeber on one bike along time ago i removed a ton of extra stuff and it no longer charged the battery !!!

You might try checking in the pull out tray in the rear tail section. Just grab the little rubber thing and give it a tug. Sometimes you get lucky and the owners manual is in there. If so there is usually a wiring diagram folded up and stuck between a page somewhere.

If no one leaps in, I think I have a wiring diagram for a KZ1000B4, but at home. I'll pdf it and post it on the site, if no one beats me to it.:)

I lucked out. There is only ONE download for the 77 650 C1 (as opposed to about 60 for the B1) and it is of the wiring diagram. The one in my manual is black and white, the one on site here is color coded. Have you checked to see if one is available for your bike?

bought a manual and looked it over ... got everything removed that i didnt need. All i have left is putting new battery and figureing out what ignition switch im using.

Thinking of a keyed switch first position turns on headlight and coil then then on to starter crank next. Still getting tail power, both brake switch power from the brown wire on the rectifier.
