Hey,

I'm having a charging issue with my 1977 KZ750 Twin. It won't charge the battery. I believe it's the rectifier thats gone bad. My question is can I take a newer Rectifier/Regulator style with 3 legs (my original dynamo has 3 legs) and simply install it into the system in place of the old one?

Thanks,
Jon

Nope, just using the 78-83 regulator won't work.
You will need the 78-83 stator, rotor, engine sidecover, and reg/rec.

And the KZ440 electronic ignition timing advancer, pickup, and igniter, to convert to electronic ignition (or the same parts off a 82-83 750 twin).
