ok,key off same as batt 12.55
key on not running .705
running .845 charging st 14.72 @ 4000 rpm's

oh and i finnaly found the pink wire for the batt level,batt warning light is now off

14.7 is a little on the high side. 14 to 14.5 would be better. Just keep an eye on it in case it starts to climb. Also check your battery's water level every 3 or 4 hours of running to make sure it's not boiling off.

If the voltage goes higher than 14.7 you'll have to find out where the brown line is losing voltage and clean or replace the connection/contact or wire.

Some people find a way to strap the voltmeter on the tank for temporary troubleshooting. Then go on a ride and watch what the voltage does. It's dangerous, though (for obvious reasons), only ride on non-busy roads that way.

After being stranded one time due to charging problems, I don't ride without a volt meter of some type to keep a eye on what is going on. I like the Kuryakyn lifeisaroad.com/stories/2004/10/27/kuryakynLedVoltmeter.html and will install one on my 1100 when it's running.
