What type of voltage are you getting from it? Did you let it sit an hour or so after filling it with acid but before charging it? Is the acid between the high and low level lines? Is the acid between the cells all at the same level?

Is it an off-brand? I try to never put anything but Yuasa batteries in my stuff. I figure if 98% of ATVs and motorcycles from the Japanese Big 4 use them, they must be good.

Later, Doug

No I didn't let it sit, and its a well known battery but not the Japanese one. The acid levels are fine. My guess was this white wire that plugged into a metal Thing under the seat which I have no idea what its called or what it does, so I'm planning on plugging that back in but if that doesn't work I don't know what else to try.the picture I have here is the closest thing I can find its hard to see but its the assembly on the left side of the battery.

Thankyou

Well my pic wasn't able to post but the white wire I'm going to hook up is inside the electrical assembly.

bushido1287... You have AC voltage coming up from your stator in three wires. I think they are pink, blue and yellow on your bike. In any case, they end up teed and running to the regulator and rectifier. Out of the rectifier is a WHITE wire that connects into a DOUBLE connector. One leg of the double connector runs to your MAIN fuse box where the voltage goes through your main fuse on its way to the ignition switch. The OTHER leg runs to the POSITIVE battery terminal and is what keeps it charged. If you have a WHITE wire flopping around, it is unlikely that the battery will be charging.

Don, is the wire white with a red stripe coming off the rectifier or is is the solid white wire? I can't ever remember but any loose white wire or white/red will pretty much ensure the battery doesn't charge.
