First i would have bought a dyna electronic ignition. But, now that you spent your money on points. Check that you have 12 volts at your coils. Make sure your points are set properly (correct gap). Next take out your points throw them in your trash bin and install a new electronic ignition! I bought mine from a place called cycle recycle out of indiana off their web site and would highly recommend these people. Great price and fast shipping. Dean

Sounds like low voltage to the coils, WG has a coil mod listed that cures the problem, but first check the voltage at the battery and then at the coils to see if you have a large drop.
Are the coils NEW or some new to the bike coils

Ditto with BSKZ650 and wiley90... except that I still have use for stock points.

In addition, have you tested/changed your high voltage wires, your spark plug caps and your spark plugs? Don't forget to test your wires (Green and Black) between the Points and the Coils.

By the way, could you add your year, model and location in your signature. It will help others to respond to your questions. ;)

Best of success.

Will the engine crank up and run?

Is the battery strong enough to spin the engine over with the electric starter?

Absent more info, am thinking problem may be be from low (insufficiently charged) battery, or a bad battery, or poorly grounded battery. :)

It does have a weak battery on it and I have had to use a booster pack on it to turn the motor over. The ground cable looks chewed up and somebody has put a car end on it. I would have liked to get rid of the points but the guy that owns the bike is cheap. The bike has new coils that I bought from Z1 Enterprise, Thank you for the help.

Replace or at least make sure the battery is fully charged and that the connections are good. Even if the battery has enough juice to turn the starter the compression in the cylinder makes it harder for the plugs to spark. At least this is my experience with my 82 kz 440 LTD
