OK another question from a noob. My kz 1000 with hi comp pistons turns over very slow. Most of the time it fires up but the other day it stranded me. I dont have the kicker for the bike. I jumped it off and it fired up but now i'm afraid to take it out without chase truck. what kind of issues am I looking at here and how hard/expensive to fix?

A little more info. The headlight is bright even at idle . Is there a charging system issue I should be looking for here. If so how do I test it?

timing is stock as far as I know but I found and ordered the shop manual for the bike so I hope to be able to check it all out and find the issue.

Found the hot wire on the battery has a bad teminal on it. Pulled wire right out of it with little effort. I'm going to replace the wires and make sure battery is charged, check the output of the charging system then I shal let you guys know what it looks like....
