I got the Lexan from home depot. The font I used is Nosferatu(not sure where I downloaded that from) I just got my chrome gauge covers from Z1enterprises and cut the lexan to fit them. I used spray adhesive to stick the photo paper to the gauge fronts. By the way from an earlier question. To remove the speedo or tach needle I first took out the to small screws that hold the original gauge front on. If you hold it up you can get under it and get at the bottom of the needle better. I "modified" a flat head screwdriver by putting a small notch in the center of the blade. Get under the needle and with a little pressure it comes right off. Here is a closeup of the font. I stripped the paint off of the needle to show the brass underneath. ( I know I need to realign the needle)

Home Depot huh? Nice .. i am there!! I got those same covers too. Interesting, you didn't even use the old cover. Good idea man! May have to steal that idea too! ;)

I was just thinking, I may cut some clear plexiglass to use for the backing of the paper so that the light comes in from behind some through the white paper. It almost seems like that is kind of how kawisaki did them to light up the numbers. Not sure how it will look but may be worth it since I am already putting an insane amount of time into these.

Where are you guys getting the LED replacement bulbs? I thought the new lights would have to be hard wired in and mounted somehow. Sounds like you found LEDs with a standard bulb base? How cool!

I got the bulbs from here ...

www.superbrightleds.com/BA9S6_specs.htm

I ordered the 4 LED BA9s Bulbs. I ordered 4 of them in blue. Make sure you select to have them in 12volt so they match the electrical system. I haven't tried to turn mine on yet but I am hoping for good things. I think I only spent like 10 - 13 bucks for the 4 bulbs.
