The best thing to do is to connect the pink cable to + via a 0.5A fuse, just to be sure.

Indeed, even the '82 GPz 1100 B2 instrument cluster warning inputs require 12v to extinguish the alternating red warning segments and the bright red flashing LED. And that includes the low oil pressure warning! The oil pressure switch shorts to ground on low pressure, so, I had to invert the signal from the oil pressure switch on my B1 by means of a 12v relay, inside the headlight bucket.​​​​​​
