There's a feed that goes to the pump, then to then injectors, and probably a return that goes back to the tank.

Was there a reason he stripped it down, or was it basically just cuz?

It ran once he went out for a ride and then it wouldnt run again. He tried everything so he stripped it down. Had all the injectors cleaned, everything. He made the mistake of gettin a hand stripping it down and cant remember what the ports on the fuel rail go too. Like i said all he wants too do was ride this summer as his health is declining rapidly. Hes had z900's in the past. But hes really stumped on this. Just a need a run down of the system.

I have a Climer manual that has the fuel injection model in it. It's 11 pages. I'd have to rip the pages out to scan them. Try to find it on line. If not PM me and I'll give you my number.

I don't have the Classic but I have a fuel injected GPZ so they should be similar. There is no fuel routing diagram in my manual so I'll try to spell it out, lol. Petcock(left underside on my tank) to fuel filter-fuel filter to fuel pump-fuel pump to one side of fuel rail Opposite side of fuel rail to SIDE of press regulator. Top of press regulator to return to fuel tank(right underside on my tank). Also-there is a vacuum line that goes to the bottom of the pressure regulator. Hope this helps !

I didn't want to put salt in a open wound. Kawasaki had lots of issues with the EFI systems. There were recalls but like everything else, some fell through the cracks. Stock 26mm KZ 1000 carbs will work ( rather cheap BTW) and by the sound of it, your dad doesn't need much more power. I know how he feels. I was depressed, my daughter moved to Oregon with my granddaughter, :( I wound up in the Hospital, they gave me one to two years to live, (that was in 11) my car broke down, started working on the bike I scraped up some money and got Bossie back on the road. What a moral booster. :woohoo: I was a little feeble at first, but once on the road, it all came back to me. Bossie's first run.

Well now, daughter moved back to California, I'm on the bike going everywhere, Adding things. B)

Going to see my grand kids every chance I get,

and the saga continues. I credit the bike for my attitude and well being.
I hope it works out as well for your dad. :)
