EASIEST WAY TO PULL MOTOR OUT OF MY 78 1000

Hey guys i'm new to site have owned my 1978 kz1000 ltd now for over a year have had some electrical issues and after talkn with few people have decided to just start complete rebuild. Down to just motor left in frame!!!! What is the easiest way to take it out please help!!!

Here's how I do mine, one man operation!
Remove tank, carbs, head, cylinder...
Lift out to the right side of bike.
For install Reverse of above.
Place lower end on milk crate on right side of bike.
slight lift and shift left into position.
Bolt her down.
Works like a charm everytime...

Camshafts: Kawi GPZ-1100 .375 lift
Head: P&P via Larry Cavanaugh
ZX636 suspension
MIKUNI, RS-34'S...
Kerker 4-1, 1.5" comp baffle.
Dyna-S E.I.
Earls 10 row Oil Cooler
Acewell 2802 Series Speedo/Tach
Innovate LC1 Wideband 02 AFR meter

Thank u sir!!!!!! Since this is my first ever rebuild im sure i'll have many more??? Do u have any other tips that will make this as painless as pos? Thanks again will post pics soon of progress

make sure you take your time and put everything you take off in an organized place. Label, take pictures.. it is very easy to forget where a bolt goes, or things of that nature.....

taking the exhaust studs out first, gives u more room, if u leave the head on
76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

Can also lay bike over onto its right side -- using tires, mattress, blankets, padding. cushions, soft grassy knoll, or whatever -- remove engine mounting bolts, and then lift the frame back up without the engine.

I had the head/jugs and studs out, frame on the ground on an old rug, just slid it over to a 2x12 on the rh side...

I'm planning on putting it back in tomorrow , in reverse with some improvements, so this is part 1
I wish I could trust taking out the exhaust studs, but I'm too far along in the game and I'm not looking for more trouble.
