Nov? We'll see once it gets going a bit faster. Its been in Florida quite a while, and if the pace continues who knows how long it might take to get close to us around here. Might be awhile. But when it does get near by, there are plenty of riders in the NW to move it, from the sounds of it.

I'm in Beaverton, near Portland, OR. I need someone to put me on the map and would love to carry the flag (but not in November).
I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

I just put this in the main relay thread as well but doesn't hurt to re-post it here:
Click on the link to the map on my signature to take you to the map. But you will need to have a Google account and signed into it in order to be able to edit the map and put your pin onto the map.
1. Zoom in to the city or town you are located first.
2. You will see a red "Edit" button on the top of the left window pane. Click on it.
3. On the upper left side of the right window you will see the blue pin. Left click on it once.
4. The blue pin will get highlighted. Then left click and hold this left button down while dragging the pin to your desired location, then let go.
5. You are offered the opportunity to input a title (your moniker and location if you like) and a brief description.
6. Left click the OK button and then the 'Save" button on the left window pane.
You can always go back and edit if you make a mistake.

Just added my pin, in Seattle.
I just bought my bike yesterday and don't pick it up for a week. I'm really hoping I can get it in riding shape and be part of this!! What an awesome idea.

Everyone is needed bro, the more the better. It sucks riding alone, I rode alone for a few hundred miles on my leg and it was boring. KZ900joe hooked up with me and rode a hundred miles or so and it was greatly appreciated. We need everyone for this. If your area is saturated then it will be an awesome group ride. Just saying

YUP - a small group, or even a pair of riders is better than a single - especially in the sparsely populated areas out in my part of eastern Oregon - 100 miles in all directions, with only several VERY small towns, and very little traffic.
So far, haven't seen a very firmed up route for the north west USA - but early yet I guess, and pretty limited number of guys signed up in my area to link up with...

I'm South of Spokane and should be able to take it as far as a couple hundred miles one way, but it looks like there are plenty of us in that area. I hope the flag gets here sooner rather than later because I'll be in the process of moving next fall and there is a chance that I wont have my KZ with me for awhile
How far south of Spokane? I'm in Dayton, down by Walla Walla. Maybe we could double up on a leg if were too close?
Bill
I'm in Pullman. So fairly close ~85mi? Probably plan on a handoff from me to you unless there are more members in the area, in which we could all ride together to get enough distance? I'm willing to go further though so we could still double up for a chunk of it? If the weather is still nice I would not mind making a weekend of it and doing 600 mi or so and camping. We'll see what happens though I guess.
That sounds great! I guess it all will depend on the time of year and what the weather will hold. I figured on meeting up with Gary in John Day, Oregon, and heading at least as far as Bend?

sounds good to me as well, hope the banner gets here before there is snow in the mountain passes between here and Bend...
