Well, I did it. But this was a Capitol Investment! Or whatever I decide? Started out good. I have no idea of this stuff? It was on FB Market! And a friend how still drag races and we just talk once in a while do favors for each other.
Turns out, A HVAC guy was doing work local. Home owner asks if he wants to take all this crap that has been sitting for over 25 years. He did. He listed it to just flip and double his money.
So I seen some Ripe Berries in his Pics! Seen a few Z1 items. Guy new nothing of bikes, he was a classic car guy also.
The frame was a 1978, The engine was a 74 Z1A 047353. It was sitting on a concrete floor! It is seized! I new that! It was on a dolly strapped to a couch cushion.
They loaded it for me.
So I finally unload the others, Then I got the gut punch!! That 74 Z1A had a wreck!? The top 1/2 case had a broken chunk off the motor mount boss! F
K My plan was to sell the cases to a person who need it for a resto! It can be fixed, Now I Need A Junk top case to cut a big chunk off. My machinist can fix it. Or " Bessum" at Paul Gast's shop! Bessum can weld and fix any trashed cylinder head.
But now the good! The Old Hidden Carbs!! Yes! Scored!! newer 29 Smoothies! With a pumper? And some holes filled? Not drilled?
Then a virgin set of 77-78 26mm's with the underneath Adjusters. They still have the white limiter caps and drain hoses.
The Z1?? Has an inspection sticker last of 1984. Probably from the wreck! The motor mounts were bent and the gauge's bracket was broken.
So show and tell Z1 parts were from 1984 when dismantled? I assume?
Then, I find some 1976 KZ900 LTD ONLY! Rear Brake parts, that aluminum resevoir and matching brake pedal, and a set on black Mulhollands??
I'll see how many pics will load.
Gonna be an eBay winter again! Speaking of winter! I'll find my pics from our Christmas blizzard!
