At speed the air pressure around the pods is less because of the vortex created by the passing wind. That's why the air box is better or something like it. The frame becomes pressurized by the wind thus providing more constant air flow. There is another thread with a link talking about this and other things.
Very interesting.

Haven't had much time lately to do much. I did get the tail light mounted.

Got some temp pinstripes on so I can see what I like and what I don't. Opinions and comments welcome as always

It is really looking good. What tail is that? Don't want to nitpick but can you get it tucked in a little tighter so it is flush with the bottom?

Where did you get the bolt on bar brace?

I seriously love what you have done to your bike here! I'm especially loving the offset pin striping! What is your final paint colour or have you decided yet? Greets from Canada

Wayne,
Glad you like it so far. The tail light is tucked in as far as it will go. If you look back in my build a few pages you will see what the tail light looks like prior to install and what I had to do to make it work. There were gaps on the side also that have been filled in. The light is off of an '01 honda 600RR.

The bars are Renthal and came with the brace. I was going to take it off but the mounts left marks on the bars so I left it on. It's growing on me anyway and fits the whole street fight theme anyways.

Thank you. The final color will be dark metallic blue with metallic silver stripes, hence the silver frame and dark blue engine. Stay warm up there in Canada.
