Well... The ride all depends what kind of road you're on. If the road is smooth, it rides smooth and comfortable. On the other hand - if the road is bumpy, the ride is a little rough. I have hit a few BIG dips and potholes in the road and it's like a sledgehammer cracks your spine and you bounce up off the seat  :woohoo: :S .

For cruising in town it is perfect the way it is, but in the future I plan on extending the swingarm 6" and hiding an air bag w/damper or air shocks somewhere. I can't take the abuse for much longer.

If you can tell- In the first picture I posted I had 2" springs under the seat. About 2 months ago, I replaced them with 3" springs(hardly made a difference) to try making the ride smoother.

I'm a big bore fan, but ou know, the more I see pictures of these small bore bikes, the more I want to build one! This one and a cafe racer 400 someone else posted look like a cool way to have fun without going really fast and spending really large piles of money!

Love the overall look of your bike aaron! Thanks for sharing.

AAron my brother was 6' 9" and every bike he ever had looked too small for him (and he had some big un's) so when I saw your pic I cracked up. Nice job on the bike and thanks for the memory.

How about former NBA star 7'4" Rik Smits, who now races vintage motocross? All his bikes are minimum 400cc.

I have always wondered about the single carb thing. My truck has a single 2 barrel for 4 cylinders, my old prelude had twin carbs...why are multiple carbs better than one big one?

I'll tell you where I started... With a pencil and paper and the stock bike torn down for reference. I ended up with almost exactly what I drew on paper.
A 650 would be sweet, because i'm always trying to gain more power for mine to keep up with bigger bikes like yours.
