Z1 sells one for the KZ900 and KZ1000. Anyone know if that will fit a KZ650? I want to eliminate the fender, but keep the stock grab bar and lights.

Your going to have to make one. Not available for the 650. If you do it do it in such a way that doesn't destroy the stock parts so you put them back at a later date.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

That Z1Ent fender eliminator is made out of aluminum, so maybe you can modify it to fit & perhaps you'd only need to drill some new mounting holes. ???

Just throwing some stuff out there. The ZN700 Ltd Shaft has a ducktail & tail light that's kind of similar to what you want to do.
The 90s ZR Zephyr models have a similar ducktail/taillight setup w small black plastic fender. again, just throwing it out there.

Problem with aluminum is it breaks easily. If you do make one I'd make it out of sheet steel.

Angled aluminum from the hardware store seems pretty stout. I made a couple of coil brackets out of it.

A few years ago I picked up a fiberglass fender eliminator for the Z1.
I sent it over to Matt at Tannermatic ( www.tannermatic.com/ ) to make a plug of. He can now make them.

Here's pictures of the original (black) and the copy (white)

You'd have to ask him how much. He gave me the white one when he mailed the original back to me.

I think the black one cost me like $40 or so... I'd never seen anything like it before so I had to snap it up.

Buffalo is probably under 5 feet of snow by now lol. 5 hour drive from me.
