Apologies in advance if I'm not properly understanding the question but at least a reply will bump the thread.

To go from 630 chain and sprockets to 530 chain and sprockets divide everything by 5 and multiply by 6

if you have a 630 chain with 100 links then 100/5 X6 =120. You need a 530 chain with 120 links.
If your front 630 sprocket is 13 teeth then 13/5 X6 = 15.6 rounded up to 16. You need a 530 sprocket with 16 teeth.
If your rear 630 sprocket is 33 teeth then 33/5 X6 = 39.6 rounded up to 40. You need a 530 sprocket with 40 teeth.

Your current 630 ratio is rear sprocket teeth divided by front sprocket teeth. so in this example 33/13 = 2.54.
The 530 ratio would be 40/16 = 2.5. Close enough. The final 530 ratio would be essentially the same.

The sprocket tooth numbers are from my 750 so you probably have different tooth counts on your 1000

Hope this helps

I went 630 to 530 two years ago and am happy with it

I put the formula in a spreadsheet years ago. PM me if you want it.

Thanks guys. So here's another question: I bought 530 sprockets 16/38 which is 2.375 ratio and the gearing Im matching in 630 is 15/35=2.333. Close enough BUT the rear sprocket just seems so small. Am I losing mechanical advantage with this gearing, meaning are my 60 foot times going to suffer at the drag strip? :P

I can get 2.333 ratio with 18/42 gearing but cant take these sprockets back now that they are mounted.

or......am i just over thinking this? lol

Yes you are. Take it out and drop the hammer, see how it feels, go from there.....I way under geared mine, 530 swap, 17/38. 16/38 should be ok. Also depends on tire, tire size, launch rpm, clutch etc.... Like I said, sooner or later, a hammer needs dropped. LOL
