I need a working sending unit since I broke the little wire wound board in mine.
I would like to keep it original, but I'm not opposed to useing a good aftermarket unit.
Is the one Z1 sell any good?
Has anyone repaired their own? What did you use for the board? I measured the wire, it's .008 in. .

Warren3200gt Offline User Posts: 1448 Thank you received: 656	Found a working one from a 82 Z1000J2 which is the same part I believe. Tested ohm range across full range. Got 3ohm (full) to 98ohm (empty) or maybe its the other way around? Anyway circa 100 ohm swing. Doesn’t have a rubber gasket with it unfortunately.
