I'm sure you're trying to help daveo but i'm not sure how ?  I'm having trouble finding the large tank cap for the D2/D3, I now have a small tank as well but I have a cap for that, they are reproduced in Japan...

That's a bloody unicorn you are chasing! Well, now I know the difference between those two-mostly-the-same caps and could tell them apart, but even with this knowledge and all my searching kung-fu I couldn't find the cap you need. The only advice I could provide after all searches is to monitor Japan Yahoo auction closely, sometimes that caps pop out there.

Do you have a cap to use as a model?  Do you have access to CAD tools?  I could help with dimensions or I could try to draw up a model for you.  That sounds like an interesting project.
