Great stuff. I like the cam chain tensioner and cylinder studs the best.

That nifty rear wheel Sandy Kosman sold me looked cool, but was billet, and weighed a ton. I was also 20 lbs. heavier. I liked the small tire bike, but it was always badly overpowered, and could be tough to ride. Used to run in the mid - high 150's with that setup.

Thanks, Curtiss, for all of the info on your bikes. I did check out the pics in the Z1 Enterprises link - very nice! I see a well thought out, well executed dragbike. Great attention to the details with no shortcuts. And it sounds like it gets the job done! And, yeah, a small tire bike is great, until you ask it to put too much power to the ground. If the track can't hold it, you'd better be paying attention because things can happen in the blink of an eye...

Thanks again for sharing the pics and info.

Hey Curtiss - yes, that would be me, in the avatar, riding the "Tangerine Dream" at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, circa 1999. I'm trying to compile and scan some pics so that I can put together a very detailed post for the forum - figure that at least a couple of members would like to know about the bike. Look for it in the very near future. In the meantime, here's a few pics -

Thanks, a lot of work went into building it, as you can imagine. And, I no longer race. My racing career lasted from 1988 - 2001. My "home" track, if you will, was Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ. And, I really enjoyed running Atco and Englishtown (RIP) along with the Prostar races which ranged from Gainesville, FL to Epping, NH to Indy. A lot of hard work and some great memories, for sure....
