Beggars can't be choosers... if your options are limited then take what you can get.

like I said people have been using these and no one has posted a picture of their engine is pieces all over the road... they do work.

If you get them report back to us.
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

So they're 69mm, but not any taller? That is kinda lame, but there are ways to bump up compression. You gotta bore the liners, might as well mill the head while you're at it.
The remarks regarding the quality of the casting is a little spooky. I have no problem cleaning up casting flash, but I wonder about inclusions and other schmutz in the metal. Are they at least as good as something Burt Munro could make?

About the rings... are they of a standard dimension and can thus be upgraded? Will Wiseco K810 rings fit?

Just by the increase in displacement the CR WILL be bumped up.

Different thing would be if you want to keep the displacement but want higher compression.

Looking at that JCC piston link it seems they are ISO 9001 and Ford Q1, accredited, it would be interesting to know where these 20 million a year pistons end up.

A lot of 'jap' bikes and parts are made in china and taiwan, it is all about design and quality control imo

Cast pistons are lighter, pops yoshimura and ART oem seem to like them.

I have a set of these ebay 1170 cast pistons, they look similar to the oversize ART oem pistons. They look pretty ok to me, but I've not fitted them yet.

We are all price conditioned here to pay £400 for forged wiseco set, but I wonder how much kawasaki are buying piston sets in for? My guess is much less than the £100 a set I paid.

The jury is still out on them, still undecided myself, if they get fitted I will report back.

Hi!

I'm thinking to bay this set BUT:
Will the cylinder hold the +3mm bore?
Any other mods necessary (jetting etc)?
Any other cons?

greetings

Hi!

Decided not to bay, instead ordered a set of piston rings from same seller-we'll see....

Both Wiseco and MTC use Japanese piston rings for the majority of their piston kits.

This is not true.I just bought wiseco 2835xc rings for me 1075 and the wiseco rings were made in china
