The engine is so smooth. Now my lazy butt won't have to shift so much, plus gas mileage boost.
It will be interesting to learn how the 1075 runs with stock cams.
I installed a head with the casting flaws smoothed out. The carbs with pods actually whistle. Roy

You'll have a sweet little 1075 with some grunt where you never had it with those 3x's....right where you want it...from the bottom where most everyone rides anyway. No down shifting required...just roll it on and GO!
Bolt them right in on stock sprockets. If your cam chain isn't all stretched out.
3x's are a nice cam but they're the wrong cam for a good all around 1075 motor IMO.
The 2 biggest mistakes many guys make are
a] too big carbs
b] too much cam
Long duration cams drop the dynamic compression ratio. That takes away mid range acceleration performance. How much cam is too much is relevant to:
a] size of the motor
b] application of the motor [how a guy really rides the bike]
More duration creates more time for the intake valve to flow air into the cylinder. Good stuff....even better when the head hasn't signed off [quits gaining flow] at a lift less than the cam provides.
Kawasaki 1000 Ninja vs Kawasaki 1000 Eliminator is the perfect comparison of how cams and carburetors transform identical engines into two distinctively behaving engines.
There's also the option of correcting the dynamic compression loss with piston dome. The caveat with that is you're then locked into the cam.
There's a combo for every purpose and every riding style. Pick the one that fits how the bike is really going to be ridden and happiness will follow suit

Is this 50 lbs of pressure going to cause any problem? Roy

I don't know the compression ratio. Big domes. Roy
