no doc told me no bike action...... I could hang it on my walker though looks like no riding for me this summer....... i thought about throwing my leg over a bike yesterday and then thought better of it as my leg was killing me after a couple of hours of being out of bed. regards , Old and Busted

Broke my hand in a fight back in 72 and had just bought a new 750 Honda (should had my butt kicked for not buying a KZ900) ....... was driving me nuts so I modified the cast a little so I could at least get my 1st finger and thumb around the throttle..... could a been in trouble in a panic stop and had to take it easy but at least I could drive it.

Doc was pretty upset with me after he saw it telling me it probably didn't heal right but the xrays showed it to be ok. Hoping you heal up quick.

Old and Busted update........ another 2 weeks before I get to go back to see the doc for x rays to see if my fractured bones are trying to heal

I'm wearing a knee brace and I've ditched my walker and am now able to get around with a cane i feel sure (fingers crossed) that some healing is going on moving slow............ still I'm suffering from bike withdrawal even with all the pain not a days goes by that I wish I could throw my leg over a bike and ride.....all I can do now is hobble out to the garage and look at them I do crank them up and let them run a couple minutes though seems the rumble of the engines has a calming quality for me

could not stand it ........... I threw my leg over my mean streak and was able to ride ....... first time I've been on a bike since my injury.. ..... feels real good to be back in the saddle again . I think this is the only bike I can ride right now (cruiser)........ I still have a lot of pain and I carry my cane in a back pack.

yes , I know bike withdrawal got me.......I'm avoiding all pot holes

UPDATE: my fractured tibia and fibula bones are slowly healing huh: another week or two before i can get a pre op physical.
I'm getting around a lot better using my cane pain is still there but i'm able to manage most of the time without pain meds. I'm so glad to be fairly mobile again and be able to get around with less effort.

I am able to ride my "meanie" as my leg isn't bent as much with the forward controls. I have tried to ride my EX 500.....still to painful riding with my knee bent produces extreme pain
