there was no angel with him tonight
21 May 2013 23:56 - 22 May 2013 23:30
my younger brother went down again tonight.
most of you will know he did a month ago because of a cager.
he is in a club based out of south Carolina.
well he is diabetic. he had a diabetic seizure and went down. those of you in sc know it is a no helmet state.
well here I am in ny while my younger brother is in sc in critical condition.
he has 6 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a serious cut to the head and bleeding on the brain.
tell me again how the helmet laws suck, I dare you !
tell me how it's your choice.
I don't give a damn how it was him or not. it could have been any one of us.
for all of you hating me right now, I hope you never have to worry about if you need to carry your family member.
more to follow, .........................................

I agree with you about the necessity of helmets.
Sorry this is going on with your brother. Hope he recovers fully. Thoughts and prayers going your way.

...Nooooooooo! What bad luck your brother is having.
...and no helmet? Why do people take such chances?!
...My Family's thoughts and prayers go out to your Brother and your Family.

I've seen it too many times and now I wear a helmet all the time even though I live in a state where you can ride with out one.
I hope your brother recovers quickly but 6 busted ribs are going to hurt for a long time.

Sorry to hear this, hope for a quick and full recovery, and yes helmets do save lives, it saved mine in 1981.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Really sorry to hear about your brother, that's more bad luck than anyone deserves. My best wishes for his full recovery.
Over here helmets are mandatory - and even if they weren't I'd still be wearing one no matter how short the trip.

Sorry to hear about your brother, hope he comes through OK. Helmets are a must on motorbikes (and bicycles) just not worth the pain and trauma. I always wear one and encourage others too. My thoughts and prayers.
