Ok so thats about 4.5 hours of intense work with my 2 yr old
grandbaby helping now the real work comes. I have to finish
removing some things in my way.

the boss for the master syilinder has to be moved becaus thats
where the swingarm fits nothing is suporting it its resting on
the brake lever boss. so my guess is
cutting that out and of course the batterybox mount.

I have an 53 GPZ peg and master cylinder set up but it's really ugly
even painted polished or cut up I dont think it;s the right look

am I missing something? modify the stock brake pedal with a different
master cylinder?

You are gonna have fun fitting a battery box in there. :P

Good work so far, keep it up and you will be riding again in springtime. Make sure you have figured out the chain line before you start assembling things. I had to run a 1/2" offset sprocket and clearance my frame and counter sprocket cover.

That polish job looks killer. Any info on the rouge would be appreciated.

Thanks! I spent the last 20 minutes admiring your boke WOW its beautiful! I know he went brown green then the new stuff was blue. Remind you I spent countles freakin hours polishing it with 2000 grit and mothers and in 10 minutes he hurt my feelings lol.

just to show me he went back over the polished part with mothers and it actually dulled it up.

OK so this morning I went to town to work on my conversion left
the house around 7 or 8 did a few things and got to my bike by
1 this afternoon. did pickup some cutoff wheels

Attachment cutoffwheels.jpg not found

I think it became real today, you know that feeling of nervous anticipation? I know when I cut the brake boss off it's not going back on.

The point of no return I am commited.

chop grind chop grind
After cutting off the centerstand tabs I refered to OMR's
I traced them 1/2 inch longer, and with a feeble drill press
an angle grinder spent quite a while fabbin the dogbone mounts.

oh yeah forgot the memory card to my new camera and then left
what few pic's i got on it in the garage an hour and a half away.
so sorry more i phone pic's

a special thank's to OMR's conversion thread it really hepled me
with figuring my design out. I almost cut off the rear peg mounts
but I am gonna do good to come up with the neccessary rightside
rear set just for the brake set up.

anyway after a few hours of cutting and welding it was dinner time
and my daughter was having company fo dinner so called it quits for
the night.

here she sits waiting for the top mount. I managed to cut those
ugly sissy bar/bag rear turn signalmounts or whatever they are off
the back before I left.

some really good progress there ramtough.
that polish job turned your swingarm into Schwing-arm  !!!!!

some sportbike rearsets would help you with the brake master pedal mounting scenario.

keep up the good work buddy.

If I remember correctly I used 03/04 ZX6 rearset for the brake and the master cylinder bolted up to the kz master cylinder mount, same hole spacing, just had to make spacers for side to side.
Thought that might help.
Your welding doesn't look that bad! From what I can tell it looks good, flux core always looks dirty till you clean the flux off but its a pretty good weld.

I know it sounds silly but I like the thought of keeping Kawasaki parts for the mod even though I use alot of repro and aftermarket parts
